About Kelly
I am first & foremost a Christian who has a deep relationship with God. I am a mother of two amazing kids ages 16 & 12 who I have helped guide in online home school since 2016. We are continually learning everywhere we go, looking for new adventures and keeping our creative, adventurous spirits alive. If we aren’t at home working away on school or projects, we are most likely ‘lost’ on some hiking trail.
I grew up in South Eastern Iowa in the small town of West Branch, where I spent most of my time either outdoors, fishing, camping, skating or in my dads garage helping him on projects. At the age of 15 my family and I moved to northern Wisconsin to Ashland, following my dads new job at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore with the National Park Service. I attended high school at Ashland High and moved to the Eau Claire area following my graduation in 2002.
I currently live in the city of Eau Claire, Wi with my two kids and thrive on spending as much time in nature and with my children as I possibly can. I am a professional multi-tasker and wear many different hats in life.  I have been battling Lyme Disease + co-infections since 2015 and have faced many hardships over the years, but wait! …there’s more!…these hardships have given me even more fuel to press on and curate a beautiful life for my children and I. My pain, my past and my passion is what pushes me to live for a better tomorrow. I truly believe that all things we go through, whether good or bad, are used for God’s purpose and his perfect plan for our lives.
I find joy in simple things like walks among the tall pines, taking photos of the tiniest of flowers on the forest floor, getting lost endlessly in antique malls in different cities, uncontrollable laughter with a good friend and warm cups of coffee at random small town cafes.
